Overview
Dodemovi is a personal writing app. It helps you draft life stories structured like a film, using optional reference titles for tone. This policy describes what data the app handles on your device, including advertising served through a third-party mediation platform.
What we store on your device
All of your creative content stays locally on your iPhone or iPad, including:
- Works (titles, loglines, notes)
- Life stages and story events
- People you add to a work
- Reference snapshots (title, poster path, and metadata you selected when creating a work)
- Export files (ZIP or PDF) you generate, until you share or delete them
We do not operate a cloud account for your writing in the current version. We do not upload your story text to our servers because we do not run a sync service for your manuscripts.
Network requests
When you use Browse or pick a reference title, the app contacts third-party catalog services (The Movie Database — TMDB) to retrieve public metadata and images such as posters, titles, overviews, and cast lists.
- These requests are for catalog browsing and reference selection only.
- Your personal writing is not included in those catalog API requests.
- Poster and backdrop images may be loaded from TMDB’s CDN when displayed in the app.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. See TMDB API Terms of Use.
The app also contacts advertising partners (described below) to load, display, and measure ads. Your manuscripts and story text are not sent in those advertising requests.
Advertising
Newer versions of Dodemovi display ads through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource). LevelPlay may also load ads from other ad networks it mediates. Ads help keep the app available; they are not required to write or export your stories.
To serve more relevant ads and measure ad performance, the app may ask for permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt to access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
- If you allow tracking, advertising partners may use your IDFA (and related device signals) to personalize ads and attribute installs or conversions.
- If you decline or later turn tracking off, the app still works. Ads may still appear, but they are typically less personalized. Attribution may rely on privacy-preserving methods such as SKAdNetwork.
Depending on your ATT choice and the ad networks involved, advertising SDKs may process information such as:
- Advertising identifier (IDFA), when you grant tracking permission
- Device and app information (device model, OS version, language, time zone, app version, IP address)
- Ad activity (impressions, clicks, and whether an ad completed)
- Coarse location derived from IP, not precise GPS collected by Dodemovi
We do not sell your writing, contacts, or story content to advertisers. Advertising partners process the signals above under their own privacy policies.

You can change this later in iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, then allow or disallow tracking for Dodemovi.
What we do not collect
- No account registration in the app
- No upload of your manuscripts to our servers
- No sale of your personal writing or story content
- No social graph or public profile
Deleting your data
You can delete individual works inside the app, remove export files via the system share/delete flow, or uninstall Dodemovi to remove local database and cached content from your device.
Children
Dodemovi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
